Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Repairs
What is a Diesel Particulate Filter?
If you own a diesel car, you probably have a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). It is a filter that captures and stores exhaust soot in order to reduce emissions from diesel cars. Euro 5 exhaust emissions legislation introduced in 2009 to help lower car CO2 emissions effectively made DPFs mandatory on all diesel cars.
Common Issues with DPFs?
- A warning Light or Message may appear
- Your car may go into ‘Limp Mode’
